What we do

We are Code Blossom - a Swiss non-profit organization founded in 2024 dedicated to offering free software development education to women in developing countries.

We believe that education is a key factor in combating gender inequality. Therefore, we work towards enabling women to achieve more financial independence, a sense of identity, and general autonomy through tech education.

Our work is currently focused on the following countries: Namibia, The Philippines, and Malawi.

Untapped economic potential

A lot of women in developing countries are excluded from the workforce, due to:

  • Societal Norms: Cultural expectations often limit women's opportunities.

  • Caretaking Responsibilities: Motherhood and/or being the main caretaker in their household make it impossible to pursue on-site jobs.

This means there is a significant amount of untapped economic potential and a wealth of talent that doesn’t participate in the workforce.

Education is the solution

Building a career empowers women to create and shape their own identity and, through that, unlock more financial and personal autonomy

We believe that education through marketable skills will not only benefit the world economy by tapping into all this hidden potential, but most importantly, help break generational cycles of gender inequality.

Because education is more than just knowledge, education is power.
