This year at Code Blossom, we are launching a project that is very dear to us: We are expanding to Namibia! This project is very special for us in many ways.

Marion, Co-Founder of Code Blossom traveled to The Philippines in January 2025 to set up an organization there to scale our impact and to foster local partnerships.

So many supporters and allies have supported me in changing careers to the tech industry, and to become a successful leader. At the same time, I can see a significant lack of diversity in the tech industry. Code Blossom is for me a way to accelerate the “lifting each other up” movement, as well as to help increase diversity in tech.

Gender inequality is neither a problem of the past nor only a problem of developing countries. It is very much a current and global issue. In today’s world, women are still fighting to reach equality in many important aspects of life such as economic and educational equality, health and safety, as well as, political equality. At Code Blossom, we believe that education is key to fighting gender inequality sustainably.

International Women's Day is a pivotal moment in the global calendar, serving as a beacon for raising awareness of gender inequality and advocating for women's rights. It's a day that transcends borders, cultures and ideologies, uniting people around the world in the pursuit of gender equality. As we commemorate this important day, it's important to reflect on the progress that has been made and the challenges that remain in countries like El Salvador, Switzerland and Pakistan.

4 years ago, my friend Nadia - who decided to change careers to product/UX design - and I hired Sana, a coding bootcamp graduate who was looking to apply her newly acquired skills in real world projects. Since the very beginning, Sana has shown an immense curiosity in solving problems and a huge motivation to grow and learn. Her arrangement consisted of a mix of paid self study, as well as building real-world web applications for customers.
